When we transitioned to our Campsite Ultra travel trailer with a tankless water heater, we didn’t realize how important an adjustable water pressure regulator would be. Why has the Kohree RV water pressure regulator become our go-to choice? I’ll explain.
Campground water pressures vary greatly, and the valve in our shower that tells the heater to kick on requires a certain pressure to activate. So the ability to set our desired water pressure from our regulator not only protects our RV plumbing but allows us to enjoy long, hot showers after a day of adventures.
Let’s learn a bit more about this Kohree adjustable water pressure regulator.
Article Overview
How Is the Kohree Pressure Regulator Made?
This adjustable pressure regulator for RV campground water sources is made of class C46500 lead-free brass. The regulator contains less than 0.13% lead, which is well under the NSF lead-free requirements. It features ¾” hose connections (inlet and outlet) that are compatible with most potable water hoses, spigots, and RV water filters. It also includes a dual-layer screened filter that removes some impurities and debris before they even get to your filtration system.
How Do You Use It?

Most campers install their pressure regulator directly to the campground spigot. This reduces the pressure before water enters any of your other fresh water accessories, along with your RV itself. The steps for initial set up are simple:
1. Install the pressure regulator on the spigot. Ensure the downstream remains open for your hose or filter.
2. Install the water filter and then the potable water hose before connecting the other end of the hose to your RV’s city water connection. Depending on the height of the spigot, you may need to reverse the order and install the hose before the filter. Install a 90° elbow at the city water connection on your RV’s sidewall for a more secure connection and less stress on the inlet.
3. Turn the water source on and use the regulator knob to set your desired pressure.
4. Pull the adjustment knob up to change the pressure. Note your adjustment on the regulator gauge.
5. Press the knob back down into the locked position once your adjustment is made.
